Quan Yin

Quan Yin (also spelled Guanyin) is a beloved East Asian goddess of compassion, mercy, and healing. One of her most iconic depictions is her holding a small bottle or vase, often interpreted as a vase of pure water or the "vase of compassion.

She sits in serene grace, robed in flowing garments that ripple like still water touched by wind. In one gentle hand, she holds a slender bottle—a delicate vessel.  This bottle is said to contain the nectar of life, the divine dew of compassion, or pure healing waters that quench the suffering of all beings.  The overall imagery evokes calm, kindness, and unwavering presence. The bottle in her hand is small, but its spiritual significance is vast—it represents her vow to ease the suffering of the world.
